Inspired by Sam Ruddock
Inspire+ Ambassador and Paralympian visits GHF school.
Inspire+ ambassador and Paralympian, Sam Ruddock visited our school on 10th March. Sam took part in the sprinting events in the London 2012 Paralympics and is now having success in the Shot Put. He will be presenting Team GB in this event in Rio this summer.
Sam, who was born with cerebral palsy, captivates the children with his story. He epitomises our value of ‘Excellence’ as he explains how he has continually pushed and challenged himself to beat his PBs to be the best that he can be.
Sam, who clearly loves his ambassador role, visiting schools and inspiring everyone he meets, made an agreement with the children. He pledged to do everything he can to ensure he gives himself the best opportunity of winning a medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympics. GHF pupils pledged to be more physically active and lead healthier lifestyles.
Thank you Sam for visiting and inspiring us!
