School Lunches
We have a fantastic school kitchen and provide delicious meals at lunchtime. We are always listening to our pupils and it is great to hear how much they enjoy their meals. We take their views very seriously and review the menu where necessary.
Our menu is based on a three week cycle which runs for each school term. We can provide adjustments for special diets provided that you complete the special Diets form and contact the School Office.
Not only are our hot school lunches healthy and nutritious, they are also excellent value for money. All meals for infant pupils (in Reception, Year and Year2) are free. For pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6), meals cost £2.30 per day
A user guide is available below or from the school office if you have never placed an order with us before. If you have any problems with registering or ordering, please contact us as we are happy to help you.
Payments for Key Stage 2 are made online when the order is placed. You can pay by debit and credit card.

Did you know that the school receives a Pupil Premium payment for the year in which families are eligible for free school meals and automatically for the following five years? For 2020/21 it is £1,345 per free school meal pupil. This additional funding will be invested in your child to help them achieve more at school. We can also provide additional support towards the cost of residential visits and your child will also be eligible to receive free school milk.
Also, did you know that the school receives a Premium of £310 for children of Armed Service Personnel? Please let us know if your child can attract extra funding for the school.
Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 all receive infant free school meals but it is still important that parents apply for Free School Meals if they are eligible so that their child receives the additional academic benefits provided by the Pupil Premium.
Healthy Eating
Research shows that pupils are more likely to concentrate in lessons if they have eaten a nutritionally balanced meal at lunchtime. By choosing school lunches, you will not only be saving yourself the time and hassle of preparing a packed lunch every day, you can also be sure that your child is getting the range and amount of food that will help contribute to their health and well-being.
Packed lunches
We have gained Healthy School status which means that our eating and exercise policies encourage children to grow healthily. All school meals are provided in accordance with the School Food Standards but children may bring in a packed lunch. We do not have refrigerated facilities therefore we recommend that is brought in a cool-bag depending on the nature of food. Please note that, as a Healthy School, pupils are not allowed sweets and confectionery (such as chocolate bars) or fizzy pop in their packed lunch. Due to potential allergies, nuts are also not allowed.
Milk
Milk is available to all pupils and free for pupils entitled to Free School Meals. Paid milk orders are made by registering with www.coolmilk.com or by contacting Cool Milk directly on 0844 854 2913. The cost is subsidised and works out about £15 per term.
